Frequently Asked Questions
Do you earn commissions?
As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.
Why should I use your link to purchase?
The small commissions I may earn support me and my time spend researching, organizing , and sharing products I find or use with my followers.
Does it cost me more to buy through your link?
No, it does not cost you anymore to purchase through my link.
Think of it as a small way to say thank you for referring you to that product.
How do I make sure my purchase qualifies you to earn the commission?
Simply by clicking my link on this site (or any related social media platforms), adding items to your cart, and checking out within the same screen/app/page my link opened.
If you close my link before checking out, then my link will likely disconnect due to common actions. (such as: opening a new window/tab/page, clicking a different affiliate link, switching apps or devices, etc). You can always go back through my link to check out when you are ready.
If I return the product, do you still get commission?
No. I do not earn the commission until after the item’s return window closes to ensure of this.
Does Amazon tell you what to refer?
No, I personally decide what products to refer.
I can refer anything I want that is available on Amazon.
There are no restrictions or limitations beyond it being available to purchase on Amazon.
Why do you only have links for Amazon products?
Other affiliate programs require larger followings in order to qualify to have an account with them. I am new to this, but I will apply for more accounts in the future. In the meantime, I will share products from other places, but am unable to share direct link.
However, another reason is because I am already an extremely frequent and loyal Amazon customer. I have been for many years before starting my blog and joining their Affiliates Program.
Now, I am just grateful I can finally earn a little passive income for all daily referrals I give out.
when did you start your blog and instagram accounts?
short answer: I just started my blog and restarted posting on my Instagram page. It will take time to naturally grow my following as only a handful of people knew about it until now.
longer answer: I created my Instagram account during the pandemic as something fun to explore. I didn’t advertise it at all because I didn’t want to feel required to post all the time. (I knew I would feel anxious if I didn’t). Instead, I just wanted to play with a separate account, see if I liked it and how much time it required. Then my life and job got busy again and stopped playing on the account….but it was always in the back of my mind that I should be…
So to start 2022, I decided to go for it no matter what the outcome or how I used it. This would be for me and anyone else who wanted to benefit from it.
I decided to add a blog as well. The blog allows me to explain things in more detail and provides a place for my content to live.
The purposefully pickiness in me wanted the blog to look great and contain as much starting information as possible before advertising it.
Thus a couple months of researching and comparing the options, I began creating the site. I learned how to build the site as I went and created some initial content to get it started. Now, here we are, spring 2022.
Thanks for being here! I really do appreciate it!
LINK ISSUES?
I clicked your link, but it opened…
…a similar product, but not exactly the same as what you referred.
- example: both are pink dresses but they look a little different; or both are toothbrushes but not the brand/color/etc.
- When my link or referred product no longer exists, you should be directed to a different, but similar item that I intentionally selected as a “backup item”. Thus, I referred the similar product you see. If you have questions about the backup item, let me know!
…a totally different product.
- example: a ball was referred, but the link opened an umbrella
